its goal of creating a truly community-driven event, the Cape Fear Italian
Festival will donate $3,000 to An estimated 5,000 people attended the two-day festival last month in Leland, despite a rain-shortened day one. Their support of the festival, as well as the support of sponsors and vendors, meant the first-ever Cape Fear Italian Festival was a resounding success able not only to overcome the obstacles and costs of this inaugural event, but have enough money left over to give back to the community in the form of this scholarship.
