Cape Fear Italian Festival releases entertainment
schedule
The entertainment
schedule for the 2nd Annual Cape Fear Italian Festival is now
available. With the festival doubling in size this year, that means twice
as much entertainment as well, including everything from pop and rock to
opera and traditional Italian singing. Everything kicks off as soon as the
festival opens Saturday, September 25, with the North Brunswick
High School Marching Band at Il
Palcoscenico Principale (Main Stage) at 10 a.m. Then the
band will march through the festival to Il Palcoscenico
Secondo (Second Stage) at the other end of Cross Creek
Commons to continue to perform.
Main Stage acts include the US
Marine Corps Second Marine Division Band from Camp Lejeune, the Rock 'n' Roll stylings of The Time
Banditsand
The Used to Be's as well as the classic standards of the
Wilmington Big Band and Brunswick Big
Band. Solo act Jeff Fortunato rounds out the Main Stage
performances.
The Second Stage features some classic
Italian singing by Canitamo Italiano and martial arts
demonstrations by the kids of King Tiger Taekwando. We'll
also test your tummy with our first ever Spaghetti Eating
Contest.
Check back for more details on all this
exciting entertainment.
